A curated arts program
Visual Arts Director 2005 – 2006
The Midsumma Visual Arts program provides a platform for innovation and development in new queer visual arts practice.
As the Visual Arts Director Ros facilitated a number of exhibitions, including:
- Liquid Aesthetics the Victorian Arts Centre’s Black Box
- Twelve Exits at the Centre of Contemporary Photography
- The Big Picture Tram Project on trams throughout Melbourne.
She produced three Queer Street programs, curating and coordinating a series of 16 exhibitions of emerging and established artists. All of these exhibitions were in public spaces, most with 24/7 viewing. As a component of Queer Street, Ros was instrumental in creating Girls on the Floor, a special event with mixed shots of avant-garde moving image and performance work.
